YECSI Awards 2025 Unveils Logo, Symbolizing a United Voyage Towards Progress

The Young Entrepreneurs Council Solomon Islands (YECSI) has officially unveiled the logo for its highly anticipated YECSI Awards 2025, an emblem rich with meaning and deeply rooted in Solomon Islands identity.

The dynamic new design, crafted in the shape of a traditional canoe, powerfully encapsulates the theme “Powering Progress: Young Entrepreneurs Shaping Tomorrow.”

The newly unveiled logo for the Young Entrepreneurs Council Solomon Islands (YECSI) Awards 2025. Designed in the shape of a traditional canoe, the logo embodies the event's theme, "Powering Progress: Young Entrepreneurs Shaping Tomorrow." The three dots within represent the vital partnership between YECSI members, stakeholders, and the Solomon Islands Government, all journeying forward together.

The logo is more than just an image; it is a narrative of collaboration and shared journey. It thoughtfully builds upon the foundation of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) logo, which features a coconut—a universal symbol of life and sustenance in the Pacific.

In a symbolic evolution, the YECSI logo transforms this concept into a vessel for movement and ambition.

Central to the design’s meaning are the three distinct dots placed within the canoe. These represent the three core pillars of the young entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Solomon Islands.

YECSI Members: The vibrant and innovative young entrepreneurs who are driving change and creating new opportunities.

Stakeholders & Private Sector: The mentors, investors, and business partners who provide essential support, guidance, and resources.

Solomon Islands Government: The governing body that creates the policy environment and framework for sustainable economic growth.

Together, these three groups are depicted journeying forward in the same canoe, a powerful metaphor for unity, shared direction, and collective effort required to power the nation's progress.

YECSI Coordinator Moses Jnr Aunama explained on the story behind the design.

He said, “The canoe is our heritage. It speaks to journey, navigation, and resilience. For the young entrepreneurs of today, the journey of building a business requires the same strength, skill, and foresight as navigating our vast oceans.”

“This logo reminds us that we do not paddle alone. With our stakeholders and our government in the canoe with us, we are charting a confident course towards a brighter economic future for the Solomon Islands.”

The YECSI Awards 2025 aims to celebrate and honour the most outstanding young business talents in the country, recognizing their innovation, resilience, and contribution to the national economy.

The newly unveiled logo will serve as the central visual identity for all event-related materials and ceremonies.

The council invites all members, stakeholders, and the public to join this united voyage in supporting the young minds who are actively shaping tomorrow.
