𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗨 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁

The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) has kicked-off a review of its 2021-2025 Strategic Plan with support from the Australian government. 

A workshop facilitated by Dr. Bob McDonald of Informa Australia recently brought together key SINU personnel to begin this important process.

The workshop focused on reviewing the current plan and helped SINU establish overarching goals for the future and develop a framework for its next strategic plan, covering 2026-2030.

Australian High Commissioner to the Solomon Islands, His Excellency Rod Hilton, emphasized Australia's commitment to partnering with SINU.

“By investing in SINU, we are investing together in the future of Solomon Islands,” he said.

“Australia remains committed in its partnership with SINU with the shared vision to enhance collaboration in research, students and staff exchanges, curriculum development and institutional capacity building.”

Dr. William Parairato, SINU’s Pro Vice-Chancellor Corporate, expressed his gratitude for Australia’s support.  

“Without the support of Australia, the university would not have been able to undertake this important training workshop,” he said. 

“The University recognises the importance of partnerships and regards the Australian Government as an important stakeholder, especially in light of continuous support for the University,” Pro Vice-Chancellor Parairato said.

Participants in the Balanced Scorecard Training Workshop will play a key role within their respective faculties, departments, and divisions as SINU prepares to review the 2021-2025 plan and develop the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan. 

The workshop provided them with the tools and knowledge to effectively contribute to this crucial process.
